Our story
Meet Kimberly & Kinley
Different experiences. One journey. Shared hope.
We are a mother-and-daughter team brought together by a journey that neither of us expected, but one that has profoundly shaped who we are.
Kimberly
Learned Experience
The other has walked faithfully beside someone she loves. Together, we've discovered that healing is strengthened when both perspectives are honored — with compassion, curiosity, and hope. That belief became the heart of Lived + Learned.
"Skills without heart are just techniques. Heart without skills can leave people stuck. We bring both."
Kinley
Lived Experience
One of us has walked through the challenges firsthand. Our journey introduced us to the life-changing principles of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) — and along the way, we learned that meaningful growth doesn't happen all at once. It happens through small, intentional steps practiced with patience and support.
"I used to think I was too much. DBT taught me I was just missing the right skills."
Why we do this
We created this space for individuals, parents, caregivers, partners, friends, and families who are looking for understanding, practical tools, and hope. Whether you're navigating emotional challenges yourself or learning how to better support someone you love — you are welcome here. We believe that no one should have to walk this journey alone.
Our inspiration comes from the simple truth that lasting change is built the same way a strong foundation is built — one brick at a time. One skill, one step, one brick. That's how we grow. That's how we heal. That's the heart of everything we do at Lived + Learned.
Compassion first
Every person who connects with Lived + Learned leaves feeling understood, connected, and equipped.
Evidence-based
Everything we offer is grounded in DBT — a therapy with decades of research behind it.
Both sides of the table
We represent two perspectives — lived experience and learned experience — that are equally valuable.
Hope is non-negotiable
Lasting change is built one skill, one step, one brick at a time. We hold that hope with you.
You don't have to walk this alone.
Whether you're curious, cautious, or ready to dive in — we'd love to hear from you.
